Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred over the weekend.
The 21-year-old man arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder, has additionally been charged with 4 firearms offences.
The man made his second court appearance February 12, 2024.

Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating after a homicide occurred earlier this morning.
At approximately 6:46 am, patrol officers responded to a call of an injured male in a residence in the 200 block of Avenue K North.Once at scene police located a 48 year old Saskatoon male who had suffered a gunshot wound, and had succumbed to the injury.
As a result of the ongoing police investigation, a 21 year old Saskatoon man was identified as the suspect. He has since been arrested and charged with Saskatoon's second homicide of 2024.
The 48 year old victim and the accused are known to each other. The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime and Forensic Identification sections continue to investigate.
