Shootings - Serious Assault Unit Investigating - Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating two separate shootings that occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday January 27, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., officers were called to a hospital in the 100 block of Hospital Drive, after a man had entered suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. The 29-year-old man is believed to have non-life threatening injuries. At this time, the location of where the shooting occurred is unknown, and a suspect description is also unknown. Police are continuing to investigate.

Then on Sunday January 28, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., officers responded to the report of an injured male in the 1800 block of 22nd Street West. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival, and no suspect description is available at this time.

Members of the SPS Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
